Before each appointment: the countdown

Three appointments mark out the pathway. A little preparation makes the tests more reliable and the day simpler.

First consultation

  • Glasses and contact lens prescriptions
  • Current treatments and eye history
  • How long, and how often, you have worn contact lenses

Preoperative assessment

5 daysbefore: remove rigid lenses
48 hbefore: remove soft lenses
  • The exact timing will be given to you at the consultation.
  • If your pupils are dilated, do not drive straight afterwards.

Day of surgery

  • No make-up, no perfume or cream around the eyes
  • Accompanied: no driving on the way home
  • Sunglasses for the journey

Why remove your lenses? They slightly distort the cornea. Without this interval, the topography and the assessment measurements would be inaccurate.
