Cataract — After the operation

Secondary cataract and the YAG laser

After cataract surgery, the implant sits in a thin envelope: the capsule. Over time, its back wall can cloud over — this is “secondary cataract”, which is not serious and is corrected in a few minutes with the laser. It is not a recurrence of cataract.
