Dr Moïse Tourabaly · Key points
Normal cornea
Regular curvature: when looking down, the eyelid keeps a rounded contour.
Keratoconus
The cone sits mainly in the lower part: when looking down, it marks the eyelid with a V.
Munson's sign appears in advanced forms: when the eyes look down, the cornea deformed towards the bottom presses a V-shaped notch into the lower eyelid. Detected early by corneal topography, keratoconus can be monitored and, if it progresses, stabilized. These key points are for information only and do not replace a consultation.
